Mario Cobo Presents “MAHUBE: DAWN” at Art Space 305 in Wynwood
Wynwood, Miami’s vibrant arts district known for its urban art and dynamic cultural scene, is proud to host Mario Cobo, one of Mexico’s most promising emerging photographers, in his latest exhibition “MAHUBE: DAWN” at Art Space 305. This exhibition represents a milestone in Cobo’s career, showcasing an artist who blends documentary realism with poetic storytelling to create photography that captivates and moves the viewer.
Born in Mexico, Mario Cobo is a self-taught photographer and writer who has spent years refining his craft in photography and videography. In 2019, he founded MAD APE COMPANY, a media and production company dedicated to documentary-style projects that explore authentic human stories. His diverse body of work reflects both personal and collaborative projects, emphasizing emotional depth, narrative richness, and visual excellence.
In addition to his extensive hands-on experience, Cobo earned his degree from Georgetown University in 2024, majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and Screenwriting and minoring in Art and Film & Media Studies, focusing on photography, directing, and editing. This unique combination of academic training and self-taught practice allows him to approach photography with technical mastery and a deep sense of storytelling.
Now based in Mexico City, Cobo is launching his first limited edition collection of fine art prints, offering collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts a chance to own unique works that capture both everyday life and poetic visions of the world. His exhibition at Art Space 305 is a rare opportunity to experience contemporary Mexican photography in Miami and to witness how one artist translates lived experience into compelling visual narratives.
